Founder & Current Leadership
LUOSKO was founded in 2014 by Stuart Harvey, alongside co-founder Andrew “Dru” Johns. Stuart continues to lead LUOSKO and the standards, philosophy and future direction of the rescue. Dru retired his position with LUOSKO in September 2026 and no longer has any involvement.
LUOSKO grew from lived experience, patient observation and a simple question that still guides every decision: what does this individual dog need to feel safe, learn and move forward?

Founder of LUOSKO with specialist expertise in K9 training, behaviour and rehoming. Stuart continues to lead LUOSKO's work with a focus on understanding the individual dog, responsible matching and building a rescue that can serve German Shepherds for generations to come.

The People Around the Dogs
Coordinators, trustees and core team members each bring something different to LUOSKO. Their titles matter less than the steady care, judgement and dedication they bring to every dog and every family.
Volunteer Co-ordinator
Lorraine is the first point of contact for anyone interested in volunteering at LUOSKO. She helps match volunteers to the roles that best suit their skills and availability.

Volunteer & Trustee
Debs serves as both a dedicated volunteer and trustee, providing governance and hands-on support to ensure LUOSKO operates with transparency, integrity and a clear focus on dog welfare.

Fundraising Co-ordinator
Julie co-ordinates LUOSKO's fundraising efforts and event presence, ensuring the rescue has the resources it needs to continue its vital work.

Safeguarding Lead
As Safeguarding Lead, Michelle ensures that LUOSKO maintains the highest standards of welfare and protection — for both the dogs in our care and the people who work with them.
